"When I started performing comedy with my improv troupe, and people found, out they assumed I got my sense of humour from my dad. That's not the case. Dad uses the shotgun method of comedy, firing off jokes all the time hoping one would hit their mark. But mom, she was what I call a comedic sniper. She didn't make jokes often, but when she did she always hit her mark. When we started hosting dinner parties mixing family with my fellow comedians, it became a "thing" to see what Mary would say during the evening. Especially when we played the party game Cards Against Humanity. She was always hilarious and never ceased to amaze my fellow performers with her quick wit and boldness." Matthew Lawrence
"I got lucky in the mother-in-law department. I used to come into work on Monday morning and friends would ask how my weekend was. I would tell them about jam making, garage saling, boat cruising, movie watching, crafting and much more. People were always amazed at how close I am to my parents-in-law. But I didn't just get a mother-in-law when I married Matthew, I got another best friend." Andrea Hertach Lawrence
